What is Naturopathy?

A wide variety of ailments may be treated via naturopathic consultation including fatigue, digestive issues, stress, insomnia, fertility issues, mood disorders, and poor immunity, amongst many others.

During a consultation, your practitioner will make a thorough assessment of your health status, based on a discussion as well as relevant assessments.

Over the course of naturopathic treatment, you may be prescribed herbal and nutritional medicine, as well as be given individualised dietary and lifestyle advice.

A naturopathic consultation will take anywhere from twenty to ninety minutes, depending on which stage of treatment you are at with your practitioner. Results and length of time taken will depend on your individual needs and health concerns.

“The natural force within each of us is that greatest healer of all.”

Nutritional Medicine

Nutritional medicine is a field of healthcare that focuses on using food and nutrients to support and optimise overall health, prevent and manage diseases, and promote well-being. It involves the application of evidence-based nutritional principles and interventions to address specific health concerns and improve the body's functioning.

The core belief of nutritional medicine is that the foods we eat profoundly impact our health. Proper nutrition is vital in maintaining optimal physiological functions, supporting the immune system, and preventing chronic diseases.

Nutritional medicine provides a comprehensive healthcare approach that considers personalised dietary plans and lifestyle adjustments and acknowledges the crucial role of nutrition in overall health.

“Nutrition is the only remedy that can bring full recovery & can be used with any treatment.
Remember, food is our best medicine!”

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic focuses on the nervous system & how it controls our entire body. Chiropractors aid in the restoration of the nervous system integrity by removing any interference caused by misalignments in the spine.

Dr Tayla utilises a range of techniques in her practice, these include N.O.T (Neural Organisation Technique), ABC, Diversified, Applied Kinesiology & Activator techniques.

She has particular interests in women’s health, pregnancy, Paediatric Chiropractic & family care.

What can Chiropractic Help With?
  • Back pain

  • Neck pain Headaches/migraines

  • Learning difficulties

  • Posture

  • Family wellness care Concussion Management

  • Women's Health

  • Facilitating optimal growth and development in paediatrics and children, ensuring their developmental milestones are being reached.

Neural Organisation Technique (NOT)

NOT incorporates the most recent developments in neuroscience, primarily focusing on identifying and correcting faults within the nervous system.

The function of the body is highly dependent on the efficient organisation and integration of our four autonomic nervous system survival systems – fight/flight, immune, digestive and endocrine/reproductive systems.

These four systems are controlled by your spine health and brain health, ensuring optimum central nervous system function.

This comprehensive therapeutic process involves gentle spinal, cranial/jaw and reflex corrections to reactivate and reorganise the nervous system.

Chiropractic care seeks to restore proper control & regulation of your body so health can return.

Psychology

With the world's hectic pace today, it’s easy to be continually caught up in the busyness of life and to have a constant feeling of overwhelm lingering in the background. Juggling family, work, and never-ending to-do lists means there often seems little time left to attend to our own well-being, or to find a moment of peace for ourselves, let alone time to give to bigger dreams.

It can often feel like we’re just waiting for that time when we can jump off the hamster wheel of life and start enjoying ourselves and living the life we want – but when will that time come?

What if, by building some simple daily habits into your life, that time to start living the life you want could be right now?

A life of more balance, of more joy, of more time to appreciate friends and family, a life full of the things you value and that bring meaning to you.

Mind Fit counselling will teach you strategies to decrease stress, be more present, boost the amount of positivity in your life, build better relationships, discover your strengths and get in touch with your values, learn how to set and achieve goals effectively, and how to attend to your health needs in order to boost your mind fitness. It’s time to finally start creating the life you want.

"The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well.

Massage

Massage therapy is a holistic approach to improving overall health and well-being.

Massage therapists can help alleviate physical pain and tension by utilising various techniques while promoting relaxation and mental clarity.

Regular sessions can improve circulation, enhance joint flexibility, and reduce muscle stiffness. Additionally, massage therapy can help manage chronic conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Incorporating massage therapy into your self-care routine can help you feel physically and mentally better.

Remedial massage is a therapeutic approach that aims to identify and fix damaged areas of the body, thereby accelerating the body’s natural healing ability. The intensity of the massage pressure can vary based on the problem, ranging from strong and deep to gentle and shallow.

Remedial massage aims to locate the source of pain and address the problem's cause and symptoms, which may radiate to other body parts due to muscle issues.

Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle form of massage that promotes the movement of lymph fluids around the body and encourages the drainage of lymph nodes.

"There are some things in life where it’s better to receive than to give, and massage is one of them".

Kinesiology .jpg
Kinesiology

Kinesiology obtains feedback from the client via muscle monitoring and identifies the non-invasive strategies, applying these as required for the client.

This enables clients to reduce physical, emotional, energetic, and mental stress, positively impacting their health and well-being.

Kinesiology can help address emotional toxicity and energy stagnation, which are the root cause of many diseases. Energetic healing can effectively treat various health issues by stabilising the body's energetic pathways, such as meridians and chakras, allowing it to heal naturally.

Energetic healing is very effective for many health issues because it stabilises energetic pathways (meridians and chakras) and allows the body to do what it is designed to do: self-heal.

Biodynamic Craniosacral
Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on session for the whole body.  Conducted on a massage table, the client is fully clothed, and the practitioner's touch is light and still. The session focuses on supporting the inherent health of the whole being, especially the nervous system (NS). The NS dictates the body’s functioning, constantly sending and receiving information.

BCST practitioners understand how an optimally functioning healthy nervous system performs. They are trained to use acute perception skills to perceive subtle physiological changes. They also know the energetic map underlying one‘s basic health and symptomology.

BCST practitioners believe that the state of health can never be lost, regardless of the ailment. They utilise their knowledge and expertise to identify the parts of the nervous system that are not functioning optimally and utilise the body's inherent ability to access "always available health" to assist the system in bringing itself back into balance. This approach helps to bring greater ease and reduce symptoms in the body.

HTMA.jpg
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis provides another avenue for exploring your health status. Hair samples will pick up imbalances that a routine blood test can miss. HTMA is a great way to prevent the onset of health conditions, as mineral imbalances are seen in the body long before these conditions become chronic.

Our health and well-being may be aggravated by mineral imbalances and toxic metal excesses, aggravating conditions including cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, migraines, learning difficulties and hyperactivity in children, to name just a few.

A hair tissue report can indicate mineral status and toxic element accumulation and reveal a unique metabolic world. Minerals status can provide insight into the production of hormones, enzyme activity, energy production, digestive health, stress levels and much more. It can also reveal reasons behind persistent deficiencies.

Minerals provide bone and teeth structure, maintaining the body's pH and water balance, nerve activity, muscle contraction, energy production, enzyme reaction, and hormonal function. Therefore, monitoring our nutritional status is essential for our health.
